Copyright Policy
This Copyright Policy explains how IQ Abroad ("IQ Abroad", "we", "us", or "our") handles copyright and intellectual property issues relating to content available on iqabroad.com and through our services.
IQ Abroad respects the intellectual property rights of authors, creators, publishers, organizations, and other rights holders.
Copyright protection may arise automatically when an original work is created, without the need for registration or other formalities under the applicable law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
1. Types of Content Covered
Copyright may apply to many types of creative works, including:
- Videos.
- Photographs and images.
- Articles and written materials.
- Essays.
- Illustrations and graphics.
- Music and audio.
- Software and source code.
- Educational materials.
- Other original creative works.
The fact that material is publicly available on the internet does not automatically mean that it may be copied, uploaded, or redistributed without permission.
2. User-Generated Content
IQ Abroad allows users to publish content through features such as the Content Hub, profiles, communities, and other parts of the Service.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions, licenses, or other legal authorization to publish the material they upload.
By submitting content to IQ Abroad, you represent that:
- You created the content or have sufficient rights to use it.
- You have permission to upload and display the content where permission is required.
- Your submission does not knowingly infringe another person's copyright or other intellectual property rights.
- You are not intentionally presenting another person's work as your own.
3. Content From External Platforms
IQ Abroad may allow users to connect external accounts or content platforms, including TikTok.
Connecting an external account does not automatically transfer ownership of the content to IQ Abroad.
Where IQ Abroad displays publicly available content from an external platform through an authorized integration, the content remains subject to the rights and terms applicable to that platform and its creator.
For example, connecting a TikTok account to IQ Abroad does not transfer ownership of the user's TikTok videos to IQ Abroad.
4. Copyright Ownership
Unless otherwise stated, users retain ownership of the original content they create and submit to IQ Abroad.
IQ Abroad does not claim ownership of user-generated content merely because it is uploaded to the Service.
However, by submitting content, you grant IQ Abroad the permissions necessary to operate the Service, including hosting, storing, displaying, reproducing, distributing, and technically modifying the content as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant features.
This license is intended to allow IQ Abroad to:
- Display content on user profiles.
- Display content in the Content Hub.
- Display content in search or discovery features.
- Store and technically process uploaded files.
- Generate previews or thumbnails where necessary.
- Deliver content to users through the Service.
- Maintain backups and security systems.
- Promote IQ Abroad or its features where appropriate and permitted.
This license does not transfer ownership of the underlying copyright to IQ Abroad.
5. Public Content
Some IQ Abroad features are designed for public publication.
If you intentionally publish content publicly, it may be visible to other IQ Abroad users and, depending on the configuration of the relevant page, other visitors or search engines.
Users should not upload material they do not have the right to make publicly available.
6. Copyright Infringement
You may not upload, publish, distribute, or knowingly facilitate access to content that infringes another person's copyright.
Examples may include:
- Uploading someone else's video without permission.
- Re-publishing copyrighted articles as your own.
- Copying another creator's essay or educational material and presenting it as your own.
- Uploading copyrighted music or footage without the necessary rights.
- Removing or altering copyright notices or ownership information without authorization.
Legitimate uses permitted by applicable law remain subject to applicable legal exceptions and limitations.
7. Educational and Exchange-Program Materials
IQ Abroad may contain educational materials relating to exchange programs, universities, language learning, applications, and other educational subjects.
The availability of information on IQ Abroad does not mean that IQ Abroad owns the underlying rights to every referenced work.
Where third-party materials are referenced or linked, users should respect the copyright and usage terms applicable to those materials.
IQ Abroad does not claim ownership of the trademarks, logos, names, or copyrighted materials of third-party organizations merely because they are mentioned or referenced on the platform.
8. Essay Examples
IQ Abroad may publish example essays and educational writing materials.
Users must not copy an example essay and submit it as their own work where doing so would violate copyright, academic-integrity rules, or other applicable requirements.
Example essays are provided for educational and preparation purposes.
Where an example essay has been submitted by a user or obtained from another source, IQ Abroad may remove or modify the material if a valid rights complaint is received.
9. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content available through IQ Abroad infringes your copyright, you may contact us with a copyright complaint.
Your complaint should contain enough information to allow us to identify the allegedly infringing material and evaluate the claim.
Please include:
- Your full name or the name of the rights holder.
- Your contact information, such as an email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed.
- The location of the allegedly infringing material on IQ Abroad, preferably including a direct page or content link.
- An explanation of why you believe the material infringes your copyright.
- A statement confirming that the information in your report is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder where applicable.
- Your electronic or physical signature, where required or appropriate.
10. Copyright Complaint Contact
Copyright complaints should be sent to:
IQ Abroad Copyright Contact
Email: email@iqabroad.com
Subject:
Copyright Infringement Notice
Please do not send passwords, government identification documents, financial information, or other unnecessary sensitive information with a copyright complaint.
11. Review of Copyright Reports
After receiving a sufficiently detailed copyright complaint, IQ Abroad may review the reported material and take appropriate action.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may:
- Remove or restrict access to the reported content.
- Temporarily disable content while investigating.
- Contact the uploader for additional information.
- Request additional information from the reporting party.
- Take other reasonable measures to address the complaint.
Submitting a complaint does not automatically guarantee removal.
12. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed or restricted because of a copyright complaint and you believe the complaint was incorrect, you may contact us and explain why you believe you have the necessary rights or authorization to use the material.
A counter-notification should identify the affected content, provide your contact information, explain the basis of your objection, and include any information reasonably necessary for us to review the matter.
We may request additional information before restoring content.
13. Repeat Infringement
IQ Abroad may restrict or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of others.
The action taken will depend on the circumstances, the severity of the conduct, and applicable law.
14. False or Abusive Copyright Reports
Copyright reporting tools must not be used to intentionally remove lawful content, harass another user, or submit false claims.
A person who knowingly submits materially false information may be responsible for consequences arising under applicable law.
15. Copyright Removal of IQ Abroad Content
IQ Abroad's original website design, software, branding, graphics, text, interface elements, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws unless otherwise indicated.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, or substantially replicate IQ Abroad materials without authorization, except where permitted by law.
This does not prevent you from using information or ideas that are not themselves protected by copyright, subject to applicable law.
16. Trademarks
IQ Abroad names, logos, graphics, and branding may constitute trademarks or other protected intellectual property.
Third-party names, logos, trademarks, and organization names appearing on IQ Abroad belong to their respective owners.
Nothing on IQ Abroad should be interpreted as creating an endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with a third-party organization unless explicitly stated.
17. Copyright and External Platforms
Some IQ Abroad pages may contain links to or integrations with external services.
IQ Abroad is not responsible for copyright infringement occurring independently on third-party services such as TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, YouTube, or other platforms.
Copyright complaints regarding content hosted directly by a third-party platform may need to be submitted to that platform as well.
18. Applicable Law
This Copyright Policy is intended to operate consistently with the applicable laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including legislation governing copyright and related rights.
The current Kazakhstan copyright law regulates relations involving works of science, literature, and art and related rights, and has been amended in 2026.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit rights or legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Changes to This Copyright Policy
We may update this Copyright Policy from time to time.
The "Last updated" date at the beginning of this Policy will indicate when the most recent version was published.
Material changes may be communicated through IQ Abroad or another reasonable method where appropriate.
