These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of IQ Abroad ("IQ Abroad", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website, applications, educational tools, community features, and other services we may provide from time to time (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using IQ Abroad, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Community Safety Guidelines, Cookie Policy, and Copyright Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. About IQ Abroad

IQ Abroad is an educational and community platform designed to help students and other users prepare for international exchange programs, explore educational opportunities, practice skills, connect with like-minded people, and access educational content.

Our features may include:

  • Exchange-program preparation tools.
  • Essay topics and example essays.
  • AI-powered essay evaluation.
  • Practice exams and simulations, including FLEX-related simulations.
  • Extracurricular activity recommendations.
  • Language-exchange and conversation-partner discovery.
  • User profiles.
  • Community and group discovery.
  • Connections to external services such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and Discord.
  • User-generated educational content and videos.
  • Other educational features that may be introduced in the future.

IQ Abroad is an independent educational platform unless we explicitly state otherwise.

2. No Affiliation With Exchange Programs or Universities

Unless explicitly stated on a particular page, IQ Abroad is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to FLEX, AFS, Rotary Youth Exchange, YFU, YES, any university, government agency, or other third-party educational organization.

The names and trademarks of third-party organizations belong to their respective owners.

IQ Abroad provides preparation and informational tools and does not represent any exchange organization or university.

3. Eligibility and User Accounts

You may use IQ Abroad only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

When creating an account, you agree to provide information that is reasonably accurate and not intentionally misleading.

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account credentials secure.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of information in your profile.
  • Activities performed through your account.
  • Not sharing your account with another person when sharing is prohibited by IQ Abroad.

You must not create an account for another person without their permission.

We may require additional information, verification, or authorization where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users.

4. Student and Minor Users

IQ Abroad may be used by students and users who are under the age of 18.

Users must behave appropriately toward other members of the community and comply with the Community Safety Guidelines.

Where parental or guardian consent is legally required, the user is responsible for obtaining that consent before using the relevant Service.

IQ Abroad does not require users to publicly disclose sensitive personal information.

Users should exercise caution when communicating with people they meet online, particularly when moving conversations to third-party services.

5. Community Features

IQ Abroad may allow users to create or discover communities, study groups, language-exchange groups, and other educational communities.

Users may also connect external communities hosted on services such as Telegram, WhatsApp, or Discord.

IQ Abroad does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for:

  • Conversations that occur outside IQ Abroad.
  • Content posted on third-party services.
  • The actions of administrators or members of external groups.
  • Changes made by third-party platforms.
  • Accounts or communities that become unavailable on third-party services.

Community owners and administrators are responsible for moderating their communities and complying with applicable laws and the rules of the third-party platform they use.

6. Finding Conversation Partners

IQ Abroad may allow users to create profiles containing information such as languages, interests, educational goals, preferred communication methods, and external contact links.

IQ Abroad provides tools for discovering potential language-exchange partners and study companions.

However, IQ Abroad does not guarantee:

  • The identity of another user.
  • Their age.
  • Their location.
  • Their language level.
  • Their intentions.
  • The accuracy of information contained in their profile.
  • That a particular user will respond to a message.

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to communicate with another user.

7. User-Generated Content

Users may publish content such as:

  • Videos.
  • Articles.
  • Posts.
  • Educational materials.
  • Reviews or personal experiences.
  • Exchange-program content.
  • University-related content.
  • Essays and other written materials.

You retain ownership of content you create, subject to the license described below.

By submitting content to IQ Abroad, you grant IQ Abroad a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and technically adapt that content as necessary to operate, maintain, promote, and improve the Service.

This license does not transfer ownership of your content to IQ Abroad.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and publish the content.

8. Content Hub

IQ Abroad may provide a Content Hub where users can publish videos and other educational materials related to exchange programs, universities, studying abroad, language learning, or related topics.

Users may connect external social-media or content accounts to their IQ Abroad profile.

IQ Abroad does not guarantee that information contained in user-generated content is accurate, current, complete, or representative of an official organization.

Personal experiences shared by users are individual experiences and should not be treated as official requirements or guarantees.

We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, our Community Safety Guidelines, applicable law, or the rights of other people.

9. Essay Evaluation

IQ Abroad may provide an AI-powered essay evaluation feature.

The system may analyze an essay according to criteria selected by IQ Abroad and provide an estimated score, including a score from 0 to 10, together with feedback.

The result is an educational estimate only.

It is not an official evaluation by FLEX, AFS, Rotary, YFU, YES, a university, or any other organization.

An IQ Abroad essay score does not guarantee:

  • Selection for an exchange program.
  • Passing an application stage.
  • Passing an interview.
  • Admission to a university.
  • Receiving a scholarship.
  • Receiving a visa.
  • Any other educational result.

AI evaluations may contain errors, inconsistencies, or inappropriate suggestions.

You remain responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use any feedback provided by the Service.

10. Essay Examples and Essay Topics

IQ Abroad may provide sample essays, essay prompts, practice questions, and other educational materials.

These materials are provided for practice and preparation.

The presence of a particular essay topic on IQ Abroad does not mean that the same topic will appear in a real application or selection process.

Actual application questions and requirements may change and may differ from materials available on IQ Abroad.

Users should always check the official website and application materials of the relevant organization.

11. Full Exam and FLEX Simulations

IQ Abroad may provide a Full Exam or other practice simulations relating to FLEX.

These simulations are not official FLEX examinations.

Some content may be created using publicly available descriptions, experiences, recollections, or reports from people who participated in exchange programs.

Actual examination procedures, questions, formats, scoring systems, and selection processes may differ.

Completing a simulation or receiving a particular result does not predict or guarantee performance in a real examination or selection process.

12. AI-Powered Features

Some IQ Abroad features may use artificial intelligence or automated systems.

These features may include:

  • Essay evaluation.
  • Educational recommendations.
  • Extracurricular activity recommendations.
  • Search or matching assistance.
  • Other AI-powered educational features.

AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for a particular user.

AI-generated recommendations are not professional, legal, financial, medical, admissions, immigration, or other specialized advice.

You are responsible for independently verifying important information before relying on it.

13. Activities Finder

IQ Abroad may use AI to recommend extracurricular activities, volunteering opportunities, clubs, competitions, projects, or other activities.

These recommendations are informational only.

IQ Abroad does not guarantee that:

  • An activity exists or is currently available.
  • A user is eligible to participate.
  • An organization is legitimate or safe.
  • An activity will improve an application.
  • A particular university or exchange program will consider an activity favorably.
  • The information provided by an AI system is accurate.

Users should independently verify any activity before participating or contacting an organization.

14. Educational Information and No Guarantees

IQ Abroad is intended to support preparation and learning.

We do not guarantee:

  • Acceptance into an exchange program.
  • Selection for FLEX, AFS, Rotary, YFU, YES, or another program.
  • Admission to any university.
  • Scholarship approval.
  • Visa approval.
  • Test scores.
  • Interview results.
  • Application results.
  • Any specific educational or career outcome.

Eligibility requirements, deadlines, selection processes, examination formats, and admission policies may change.

Official organizations and institutions remain the authoritative source for their own requirements and decisions.

15. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use IQ Abroad to:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations.
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse another person.
  • Impersonate another individual or organization.
  • Create fraudulent profiles.
  • Conduct scams or phishing.
  • Distribute malware or malicious code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
  • Collect personal information from other users for abusive or unauthorized purposes.
  • Publish content that violates another person's rights.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use.
  • Manipulate ratings, profiles, recommendations, or other platform features.
  • Circumvent technical restrictions or access controls.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of IQ Abroad.
  • Use automated methods to scrape or collect platform data without our permission.
  • Use IQ Abroad to facilitate illegal or harmful activities.

16. Content Moderation and Enforcement

We may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to content or accounts when we believe it is necessary to:

  • Enforce our Community Safety Guidelines.

Depending on the circumstances, we may issue warnings, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts.

We are not required to provide advance notice in situations where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or legal rights.

You are responsible for reviewing the terms and policies of third-party services before using them.

19. Advertising

IQ Abroad may display advertisements on the Service, including through Google AdSense and other advertising partners.

Advertisements may be shown to visitors and users on pages of iqabroad.com. Ad partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver, personalize (where permitted), and measure ads, as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to iqabroad.com and/or other sites on the Internet.

IQ Abroad does not control all content of third-party advertisements and does not endorse products, services, or opinions that may appear in ads. Advertisers are solely responsible for their ad content.

You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

24. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IQ Abroad and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

This includes, where permitted by law, losses arising from:

  • Reliance on educational recommendations.
  • Reliance on essay scores or feedback.
  • Reliance on practice exams or simulations.
  • Interactions with other users.
  • Use of external messaging platforms.
  • User-generated content.
  • Third-party services.
  • Educational, admissions, scholarship, visa, or exchange-program decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

25. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

26. Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using IQ Abroad at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that you:

  • Created a significant safety or security risk.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, except to the extent that mandatory laws applicable to you require otherwise.

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the jurisdiction rules applicable to the relevant parties.

30. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

31. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright Policy, and Community Safety Guidelines, constitute the agreement between you and IQ Abroad regarding your use of the Service, unless additional terms apply to a particular feature.
