What FLEX selection involves
FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) is a competitive U.S. government–supported program for secondary students. National committees typically assess English proficiency, essays, and interviews before finalists are nominated.
Preparation spans months: you strengthen academic habits, practice writing about your experiences in clear English, and learn how to speak calmly about your motivation in interviews.
How to use IQ Abroad for FLEX
IQ Abroad groups FLEX essay topics, example essays rated by quality, grammar and reading exercises, and ELTIS-style practice in one account. Guests can browse public guides and samples; a free account saves drafts and favorites.
Communities connect you with other FLEX applicants from your intake year. Content Hub lists TikTok creators who document real selection journeys—useful for mindset, not as official instructions.
